International Duties & Taxes Reminder (Outside the U.S and China)
Please note that our primary warehouse is located in NY, U.S.A and Guangzhou, China. All international orders outside the U.S.A and Hong Kong are shipped on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis. This means your order total does not include local taxes, VAT, or customs duties, which may be assessed by your country's customs authority upon arrival.
What this means for you:
-
Ex-Tax Checkout: We only collect the retail price of the garment and the shipping fee at checkout.
-
Customs Clearance: Once the package enters your destination country, the local courier (such as DHL or FedEx) will contact you directly via text or email to collect any mandatory import taxes or administrative clearance fees.
-
Final Delivery: These charges must be paid directly to the shipping carrier before they can release and deliver your package.
As the importer of record, settling these local fees is the recipient’s responsibility. Chicmake CANNOT predict these exact amounts or issue refunds for packages refused or abandoned due to unpaid customs fees. We recommend checking with your local customs office for specific thresholds and rates.
